A former Arsenal and German player, Lukas Podolski, is now worth more than $200 million after establishing his ice cream brand and a khebab company in Germany named Mangal Doner.
Podolski’s company owns 30 khebab shops in Germany.
The Germany footballer got inspired to venture into khebab business during time playing for Galatasaray in the Turkish Superlig.
In 2017, two years after leaving Premier League club Arsenal, he launched dessert brand Ice Cream United in Cologne, the home of his first professional club FC Koln.
A year later he launched his kebab chain Mangal Doner and opened the first shop in Cologne.
The Sun reported his net worth to be around $225 million including his career earnings as a footballer. Podolski had been one of Arsenal’s highest-paid players during his time in England.
