Nigerian music icon Wizkid is set to release a collaborative project that will feature two of Africa’s biggest disc jockeys, DJ Tunez and DJ Maphorisa. The project, which will consist of three new songs, is slated to follow up the release of Wizkid’s new single, Morayo, continuing his prolific output in 2025.
Popular DJ and producer DJ Tunez , officially revealed the tracklist for the much-anticipated project, titled South Gidi, on X (formerly Twitter) today, Thursday, October 23, 2025.
The ‘South Gidi’ Tracklist
DJ Tunez shared three songs that will feature on the project, which is expected to be a seamless fusion of Afrobeats and Amapiano:
- Money Constant
- Fiesta Forever
- Abangani
The announcement, accompanied by the South African and Nigerian flags alongside a heart emoji, highlights the strong collaborative and cross-cultural essence of the project.
South Gidi is expected to represent a major sonic experience, embodying the vibrant energy of both South Africa and Nigeria, the two powerhouses of Afrobeats and Amapiano.
A Return to the Biggest Stages
DJ Tunez has a long history of successful releases, from collaborations with Wizkid and Fola on One Condition to Apala Disco with Terry Apala. This project, bringing together Wizkid and the Amapiano pioneer DJ Maphorisa, is expected to return him to the biggest of stages.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the fusion of Wizkid’s signature vocals with Maphorisa’s log drums and DJ Tunez’s polished production.
