Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Faces Sentencing After Federal Conviction on Prostitution-Related Charges

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is scheduled to appear before a federal judge in Manhattan on Friday for sentencing after his conviction earlier this year on prostitution-related charges.

Combs, 54, was found guilty in July of two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution following an eight-week trial. He was acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, which could have carried a life sentence.

The case centered on allegations that Combs coerced two former partners into drug-fueled sexual encounters involving hired escorts. While prosecutors argue the convictions reflect serious misconduct, the defense has characterized them as lesser “fallback” counts that should never have been prosecuted.

Under the Mann Act, each conviction carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison. Judge Arun Subramanian will determine the sentence, with proceedings set to begin at 10 a.m. Eastern time.
