Multi-award winning musician Makhadzi has successfully hosted her One Woman Show at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, Limpopo. The event, which featured a star-studded lineup, drew massive crowds, filling the stadium to capacity.
The show boasted an impressive lineup, including Gigi Lamayne, DJ Tira, Zola 7, Malaika, Nkosazana Daughter, Lwah Ndlunkulu, and Sho Madjozi, among others.
Makhadzi’s grand entrance wowed the audience, and her performance was met with thunderous applause. Notably, the singer opted for a more subdued approach this time around, forgoing aerial stunts in favor of a more intimate connection with her audience.
The event marked Makhadzi’s second One Woman Show, following her successful debut in Botswana. The singer had previously expressed frustration about slower ticket sales compared to R&B singer Chris Brown’s upcoming concert at FNB Stadium. However, on the day of her show, ticket sales were no longer a concern, as fans turned out in droves to support the musician.
Fellow performers took to social media to congratulate Makhadzi on her achievement. DJ Tira praised the singer’s success, writing, “#MakhadziOneWomanShow a HUGE success… From selling fruits in the streets to filling up stadiums.”
Sho Madjozi also commended Makhadzi’s efforts, stating, “This is not a label, this is not built by executives somewhere, this is sheer ambition, sheer drive and power. An artist that is for and by the people.”
Makhadzi’s One Woman Show has cemented her status as one of South Africa’s most beloved and respected musicians.
