Ghanaian President, John Dramani Mahama, has unveiled his latest ministerial nominees, and some notable names have made the cut.
Muntaka Mubarak, Member of Parliament for Asawase, has been nominated as Minister-Designate for the Interior Ministry. This isn’t Muntaka’s first stint in government; he previously served as Minister for Youth and Sports from January 2009 to June 2009.
Other notable nominees include Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, who’s been tapped as Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Samuel Nartey George, MP for Ningo-Prampram, will head the Ministry of Communications. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, MP for Ellembelle, has been named Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.
Rounding out the list are Edward Omane Boamah as Minister-designate for the Ministry of Defence and Kofi Adams as head of the Sports Ministry. These nominations mark a significant development in Mahama’s administration, and it’ll be interesting to see how these leaders shape their respective ministries.
