Tika the Iggy, the stylish Italian greyhound who amassed a massive online following for her extravagant wardrobe, has passed away at the age of 14. Her owner, Thomas Shapiro, shared the sad news on social media Tuesday.
Tika, who had over 1.6 million followers on Instagram, became a true internet sensation, earning titles like “a new fashion it girl” and “the Anna Wintour of dogs.”

Details of the Passing
Shapiro explained that Tika had been battling two liver tumors and underwent surgery to remove them, following the advice of veterinarians.
The operation was initially deemed successful, and Tika returned home without complications, even enjoying her favorite meal, chicken, that first night. However, on the second day after surgery, Tika appeared unusually tired.
While vets initially attributed her fatigue to post-surgery medication, it soon became clear that her body was failing. Tika spent her final moments peacefully at home with her family.
Tika’s enduring legacy is celebrated for her bold and fashionable outfits, which captured the hearts of people around the world and cemented her status as a global style icon.
