Ghana: Armed Robbers Attack Passengers On Sunyani-Kumasi Highway

Armed robbers have reportedly attacked and robbed passengers on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway in Ghana.

Local media reports say the passengers were 20 in total and were traveling in a Sprinter bus with registration number GG 4181-16.

Reports say they were robbed at gunpoint around 1:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025.

The robbers were reported to have blocked the road between Tweapease and Mfensi, close to the Moments of Glory Prayer Army (MOGPA), allegedly ordering all passengers to hand over their belongings.

According to passengers, the robbers made away with money, mobile phones, and other valuables. No casualty was reported.

The armed robbers were said to be five in number.
