WWE superstars Naomi and Jimmy Uso have announced they are expecting their first child. The news came after Naomi, who is seven weeks pregnant, was pulled from Monday Night Raw and forced to relinquish her Women’s World Championship.
Staying in character, the 37-year-old told General Manager Adam Pearce she would not be giving up the title, vowing to come back for the “heffers” of the division in nine months.
Triple H, WWE’s Head of Creative, shared a video of the couple backstage with the caption: “Couldn’t be happier for @TheTrinity_Fatu & Jimmy @WWEUsos! Some things matter more than championships. #WWERaw”
In an announcement video on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story podcast, Naomi explained that she found out about the pregnancy on August 10 while on the road. She admitted she was surprised by the news, given her history of fertility issues, including an oophorectomy to remove her right ovary in 2012 and a myomectomy to remove “tons” of fibroids five years ago.
Despite being “high risk,” Naomi said she is happy and that everything is looking good.
