The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of the provisional results for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates in Ghana.
A total of 460,611 candidates, comprising 212,954 males and 247,657 females from 1003 schools, sat for the examination. This represents a 2.66% increase compared to the 2023 entry figure of 448,674. 4,609 candidates (1.0%) were absent from the examination.
Heads of schools will receive login details to access their students’ results. Candidates can also check their results online at the WAEC website: www.waecgh.org.
WAEC has cautioned stakeholders to be vigilant against fraudsters who may offer to upgrade results for a fee. The Council emphasizes that WASSCE results are secure and can be authenticated using its verification system, including a downloadable WAEC QR code.
Detailed performance statistics, including subject-specific breakdowns, are available on the WAEC website.
