The US and Iran have failed to reach a deal following several hours of peace talks in Islamabad, Pakistan on Saturday.
US Vice President, JD Vance, who led the American delegation to Pakistan, told reporters that there are shortcomings in talks with Iran.
According to him, the Iranian delegation has chosen not to accept Washington’s terms.
Iranian media reports suggest that one of the areas of disagreements is Iran’s desire to solely control the Strait of Hormuz, an international water and charge tolls from all ships that pass through the critical waterway. Iran also consoders that US 15-point proposal as “unreasonable demands.”
