President Donald Trump has confirmed that the United States army has carried out a “powerful and deadly” strike against ISIS terrorists in Northwest Nigeria.
The strike was carried out on Wednesday night, December 25, 2025, the day Christians in Nigeria and around the world were celebrating Christmas, the birth of Jesus.
According to President in a post on social media on Friday, December 26, 2025, the strike was aimed at “ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries!”
He said “I have previously warned these Terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians, there would be hell to pay, and tonight, there was. The Department of War executed numerous perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of doing. Under my leadership, our Country will not allow Radical Islamic Terrorism to prosper. May God Bless our Military, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, including the dead Terrorists, of which there will be many more if their slaughter of Christians continues.”
A few weeks ago, Trump accused terrorists in Nigeria of persecuting and killing Christians in the country.
He then vowed to enter Nigeria “guns-ablazing” to deal with the terrorists. Since his threat of a military invasion, many have been wondering what the United States was going to do, especially after series of dialogues between the Trump administration and the Nigerian government.
