Jimmy Kimmel and Donald Trump

President Donald Trump has strongly condemned ABC News for allowing American comedian, Jimmy Kimmel back on air, calling the news out “ABC Fake News” and seemingly threatening to take a legal action against them.
Kimmel was suspended after making what has widely been described as insensitive Charlie Kirk’s murder comments whilst he was on air on Monday, September 15, 2025.
During his monologue, Kimmel said “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”
He was then abruptly suspended after the US federal TV regulator threatened to revoke ABC’s broadcast license. Disney, owner of ABC, noted that it suspended the Jimmy Kimmel Show because it “felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive.”
But he was allowed to return to air on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, something President Trump is not happy with.
In a post on Tuesday night on his Truth Social, President Trump says “I can’t believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back.”
According to President Trump, “The White House was told by ABC that his Shoe was cancelled! Something happened between then and now because his audience is GONE, and his “talent” was never there.”
He added “Why would they want someone back who does so poorly, who’s not funny, and who puts the Network in jeopardy by playing 99% positive Democrat GARBAGE. He is yet another arm of the DNC and, to the best of my knowledge, that would be a major illegal Campaign Contribution.”
Trump said “I think we’re going to test ABC out on this. Let’s see how we do. Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 Million Dollars. This one sounds even more lucrative. A true bunch of lovers! Let Jimmy Kimmel rot in his bad Ratings.”
