TEAM SA WRAPS UP PARALYMPICS WITH SIX MEDALS

PARIS – The 2024 Paralympics closing ceremony took place on Sunday night.

Louzanne Coetzee represented Team SA in their final performance at the Games as she took on the women’s T12 marathon.

She managed to finish seventh, clocking a time of 3:25:53.

South Africa wrapped up the Games with a total of six medals.

Mpumelelo Mhlongo and Simone Kruger won a gold each while the other four medals are bronze.

In the 2021 Tokyo Paralympic Games, South Africa won seven medals, which included four golds and one silver.
