Music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is allegedly facing life-threatening conditions in prison after sources claimed he survived a near-fatal attack by a fellow inmate at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
According to reports, the 55-year-old hip-hop icon woke up in the middle of the night to find another inmate holding a knife to his throat.
Details of the Attack
The shocking revelation came from Diddy’s longtime friend, Charlucci Finney, who described the incident as horrifying and surreal.
“He woke up with a knife to his throat,” Finney said. “I don’t know whether he fought him off or the guards came, but I just know that it happened.”
Finney stressed how close the incident came to tragedy, noting the speed at which harm could have occurred. He suggested the attack might have been intended as a warning rather than a direct attempt on Diddy’s life, but added, “Everything is intimidation. But with Sean, it won’t work. Sean is from Harlem,” implying Diddy’s resilience keeps him grounded despite the danger.
The incident follows earlier concerns raised by Diddy’s attorney, Brian Steel, who previously revealed that prison guards had intercepted another inmate armed with a razor blade before anyone was injured.
Prison Justice and Mental Strain
Finney explained that the embattled rapper has tried to keep most of his prison experiences private to avoid alarming his family. He also highlighted the harsh reality of prison life for inmates facing sexual misconduct charges.
“If you’re in jail and you’ve been charged with anything sexual, it’s not a good place to be. The prisoners take it personal. They call it prison justice,” Finney stated.
Meanwhile, speculation that former U.S. President Donald Trump might be considering a pardon for Diddy was quickly dismissed, with a White House spokesperson telling NBC News, “There is zero truth to the TMZ report.”
Diddy remains in custody, serving a 50-month prison sentence, as public concern over his safety continues to grow amid increasing scrutiny surrounding his case.
