Johnny Wactor
American actor, Johnny Wactor, best known for his work on daytime drama “General Hospital,” has been shot and killed in a reported armed robbery attack.
Multiple local media reports in the US citing his family and police, say Wactor was killed when he interrupted a crime in Los Angeles. Wactor was 37.
His mother, Scarlett Wactor, also confirmed his death, reports say. She is said to have described him as “a light in a dark room.”
She was quoted as saying: “There is a huge hole in all of us, and there is no fixing that.”
In a statement, Wactor’s agent, David Shaul, noted that the murdered actor was a dedicated worker and an exemplary person.
According to Shaul in his statement to Variety,
“In the highs and lows of a challenging profession he always kept his chin up and kept striving for the best he could be. After over a decade together, he will leave a hole in our hearts forever.”
What really happened?
Reports cited Los Angeles police as saying that about 3:25 a.m. Sunday, Wactor came upon three people removing a catalytic converter from a vehicle near Pico Boulevard and Hope Street, in the southwest corner of downtown Los Angeles.
According to police, one of the three opened fire, killing Wactor in the process.
