PSG Claims First-Ever UEFA Super Cup Title in Thrilling Comeback

Paris Saint-Germain claimed the 2025 UEFA Super Cup after a dramatic showdown against Tottenham Hotspur, winning 4–3 on penalties following a 2–2 draw in regular time at Stadio Friuli, Udine.

This marks PSG’s first Super Cup triumph in club history.

Tottenham appeared to be cruising to victory, taking a 2–0 lead with Micky van de Ven scoring just before halftime and Cristian Romero doubling the advantage early in the second half. However, PSG staged a late comeback, with Lee Kang-in pulling one back in the 85th minute and substitute Gonçalo Ramos leveling the score in stoppage time.

The penalty shootout proved just as intense. PSG held their composure, while Tottenham faltered, allowing Nuno Mendes to convert the decisive spot-kick and seal a 4–3 victory for the Parisians. The win caps a sensational season for PSG, showcasing their resilience and ability to deliver under pressure.
