Pep Guardiola Parties with Gallagher Family at Oasis Homecoming Gig

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was spotted backstage with the children of Liam and Noel Gallagher at the Oasis homecoming gig in Heaton Park, Manchester. The sold-out show was a highly anticipated event, with over 70,000 people in attendance. Guardiola was pictured with Liam’s two sons, Lennon and Gene, and Noel’s three children, Anais, Donovan, and Sonny.

The Gallagher brothers took to the stage at around 8:20 pm, playing a setlist that included some of their greatest hits like “Hello,” “Acquiesce,” and “Morning Glory.” Fans had to wait until the encore to hear iconic songs like “Don’t Look Back in Anger” and “Wonderwall.” Liam Gallagher dedicated the song “D’You Know What I Mean” to Pep Guardiola, calling him the “greatest manager of all time” and referring to him as “the boss”.

Gene Gallagher shared a photo of the encounter with Pep Guardiola on Instagram, captioning it “Pic of the century alright now everyone else fuck off.” The image captured a special moment between the Manchester City manager and the Gallagher family. Noel Gallagher also dedicated the song “Half The World Away” to Royale Family actor Craig Cash and his co-star Caroline Aherne, who passed away in 2016.

Greater Manchester police reported that the event passed “without incident,” although six men were arrested and in custody for various reasons, including being drunk and disorderly and suspicion of drug and fraud offenses. Five drones were also seized due to breaches of airspace restrictions. Despite these incidents, the concert was a huge success, with fans from all over the world in attendance.

Oasis fever gripped the city in the days leading up to the gig, with huge pictures of the brothers displayed on the side of Manchester’s yellow buses. Liam Gallagher’s voice was even featured on the Metrolink tram network, telling fans “The next stop is … Heaton Parrrk,” before adding “Off you go.” Fans were excited to see the band perform live, with some traveling from as far as the US and Mexico to attend the show.

The Oasis gig was a testament to the band’s enduring popularity, with fans of all ages in attendance. Carley Williams, a 27-year-old fan from Boston, spent over $15,000 to visit Manchester for two weeks and see the five hometown gigs. “I’ve just never been more excited in my life,” she said. “This is like what I’ve lived my life to do, so I just have never experienced this level of anticipation in my life, and I’m just loving every minute of it”.

After the Manchester shows, Oasis will head to London’s Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, and Dublin’s Croke Park throughout July, August, and September. The band’s reunion has been met with widespread enthusiasm, with fans eagerly anticipating their live performances.
