The controversy surrounding Nigerian social media personality Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi, popularly known as Mandy Kiss, has escalated as a traditional ruler formally petitioned the Lagos State Governor to intervene.
The Eselu of Iselu Kingdom in Ogun State, Oba Ebenezer Akinyemi, has called on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to ensure the arrest of Mandy Kiss over her highly publicized plan to stage a 24-hour “marathon sex” challenge, claiming the act would constitute a public nuisance.
Demand for Arrest and Evaluation
In an open letter addressed to the Governor, Oba Akinyemi condemned the influencer’s proposal—which she had advertised with a flier bearing the Guinness World Records (GWR) logo—as “shameful and dangerous.” The event was scheduled to take place on October 30, 2025, in Ikorodu, Lagos.
The monarch warned that such actions could severely damage the morals of Nigerian youth and demanded that security agencies halt the planned event.
Oba Akinyemi went beyond calling for a simple arrest, making specific demands for the influencer’s well-being and public safety:
- Drug and Psychiatric Tests: He advised that Mandy Kiss be subjected to a drug test and psychiatric evaluation, suggesting her behavior may be symptomatic of mental or emotional instability.
- Federal Agency Intervention: He appealed to the Lagos State authorities to collaborate with federal agencies, specifically mentioning the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), to prevent the proposed public nuisance.
The traditional ruler concluded his appeal by stating, “The authorities must act now and arrest her before this disgraceful act, already rejected by Guinness, soils the image of Lagos State.”
GWR Rejects Attempt
The controversy initially flared after Mandy Kiss announced her attempt to “sleep with 100 men within a single day” to set a Guinness World Record. GWR quickly and publicly disowned the proposal, clarifying that it does not monitor or endorse sexual activity as a record category, citing that the attempt did not meet its criteria for being measurable, verifiable, safe, or ethical.
Despite the GWR rejection, Mandy Kiss had reportedly maintained her intention to proceed with the event, fueling the public and official backlash, which prompted the monarch’s latest intervention.
