Mbappé Injury Scare Eases: Real Madrid Star Cleared of Serious Damage

Fresh reports have emerged following the recent injury scare for France and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé during the international break, confirming positive news for the club.

The star forward has successfully completed medical examinations in Madrid, with results confirming no serious injury. The French international underwent precautionary tests following discomfort sustained during international duty, but scans revealed no significant damage.

Released from France Duty

While the injury isn’t severe, Mbappé has been ruled out of Monday’s World Cup qualifier against Iceland after aggravating a right ankle issue sustained while playing for Real Madrid. The French Football Federation (RFEF) confirmed that Mbappé, who scored in Friday’s 3–0 win over Azerbaijan before being substituted following two heavy challenges, has been released back to his club and will not be replaced in the squad.

His absence adds to France’s growing injury list in attack, with Ousmane Dembélé, Desire Doué, Marcus Thuram, and Bradley Barcola also sidelined for October’s qualifiers. Despite his efforts to continue through discomfort earlier in the week, discussions between Mbappé and coach Didier Deschamps led to the decision to rest the forward as France aims to secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup without their talisman.

Real Madrid Boost

The news comes as a major boost for Los Blancos fans and head coach Xabi Alonso. Mbappé’s condition is not considered severe, and he is expected to rejoin full training with the Real Madrid squad next week, ahead of a demanding run of fixtures.

Mbappé, who joined Real Madrid earlier this year, has already made a strong impact in La Liga and the Champions League, showcasing his trademark pace and clinical finishing. With medical clearance now confirmed, he is expected to resume preparations with his teammates at Valdebebas in the coming days, as Real Madrid look to maintain their unbeaten run in all competitions.
