Mavin Records stars Ayra Starr and Rema are finally joining forces for their first-ever studio collaboration, a new track titled ‘Who’s Dat Girl’, set to drop on Friday, October 16, 2025, at 1 a.m. WAT.
This long-awaited partnership marks the official studio debut between two of Afrobeats’ most successful and internationally acclaimed young acts, both signed under Don Jazzy’s powerhouse label.
Anticipation and Global Hype
Ayra Starr initially teased fans about a new release before sharing the exciting news on X (formerly Twitter). Her post included a short visual teaser, showing the duo in sleek purple and black outfits, giving fans a taste of the song’s bold aesthetic. Mavin Records later confirmed the release, significantly raising anticipation among fans globally.
The collaboration comes after the pair shared the stage multiple times, most notably during their Global Citizen Festival performance in September 2025, where their on-stage chemistry first sparked widespread speculation about a joint track.
With both artists riding a wave of international acclaim—Rema following his global hit ‘FUN’ and Ayra Starr fresh off the success of her latest single, ‘Hot Body’—‘Who’s Dat Girl’ is widely expected to be one of the definitive Afrobeats releases of the year.
