‘Terminator’ hitmaker, King Promise has won the coveted Artist of The Year award at the 26th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

The awards ceremony was held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, May 10, 2025.

King Promise beat competition from Stonebwoy, King Paluta, Black Sherif, Joe Mettle, Kweku Smoke, and Team Eternity.

Aside winning the ultimate award on the night, King Promise also won three other prestigious awards namely: Best AfroPop Song, Best AfroPop/Afrobeats Song, Album/EP of the Year.

Other notable winners on the night were Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata, Esther Godwyll, Kweku Smoke, KiDi, Team Eternity Ghana, Empress Gifty and Tulenkey.

This year’s Unsung Artist winner was Yaw Darlington. Kweku Smoke won Best Hiplife/HipHop Artist of The Year, Stonebwoy won his 10th Best Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the Year, Kofi Kinaata won Songwriter of the Year, and Joe Mettle won Best Gospel Artist of the Year.
