The nominees for the 2025 MOBO Awards have been announced, with Ghanaian Afrobeat sensation King Promise earning a spot in the Best African Music Act category.
He faces tough competition from top artists including Asake, Ayra Starr, Tems, Odumodu Blvck, Shallipopi, Tyla, and Uncle Waffles.
This marks King Promise’s second MOBO Awards nomination, following his first in 2021 in the same category. That year, the award went to Nigeria’s Wizkid.
The recognition highlights King Promise’s continued rise in the global music scene as he stands alongside some of Africa’s biggest talents.
