President William Ruto has commissioned hostel facilities for students at St Joseph’s Chepterit Girls High School as part of efforts to eliminate barriers to education in Kenya.
During the commissioning of the hostels, President Ruto also handed a school bus to St Joseph’s Chepterit Girls High School which is located in Nandi County.
According to him, his administration is “continuously eliminating barriers to education that may limit learners from acquiring quality knowledge.”

He announced that “In the next financial year, education will receive KSh765 billion, the highest allocation in the budget, in our plan to raise the bar in teaching and training the best human capital to drive our national transformation.”
Ruto says “we are committed to building a 2,500 capacity hall at the school, 30 extra classrooms, an administration block, and providing 100 computers in May. ”

The Kenyan President added that “Our goal is to expand the institution’s infrastructure and double the intake from the current 1,600 learners.”
