JFK Heir Jack Schlossberg Mocks First Lady’s Letter to Vladimir Putin

John F. Kennedy heir Jack Schlossberg, aged 32, harshly mocked First Lady Melania Trump regarding a letter she wrote to Russian President Vladimir Putin. In a video posted to his social media pages on Sunday, he wore a poorly fitting blonde wig and imitated the first lady’s Slovenian accent as he read her message aloud.

Schlossberg’s video caption, “A message from our BEAUTIFUL FIRST LADY,” mimicked President Donald Trump’s habit of capitalizing certain words for emphasis. He also parodied the president’s typical sign-off, writing, “thank you for your attention to this matter – We want peace.”

After reading the letter, Schlossberg dropped the accent, removed the wig, and added his own thoughts, saying, “What am I saying? This makes no sense. Please be more specific Miss Melania Trump.” To his hundreds of thousands of followers, he continued, “I don’t think it made any sense. I don’t think it said anything beyond ‘melodic laughter,’ that’s the only thing I could remember – and that she is calling on Putin to end the war.” He then made a reference to the president, who had met with Putin in Alaska on Friday to negotiate an end to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, saying, “Interesting. Maybe she could talk to someone who could do something about that.” Schlossberg concluded by calling it a “very confusing letter, a very confusing message,” but added that the “conflict in Ukraine” was “not that confusing.”

In her letter, which her husband later shared on social media, the First Lady stated that all children, regardless of their birthplace, share the same dreams. “Every child shares the same quiet dreams in their heart, whether born randomly into a nation’s rustic countryside or a magnificent city-center. They dream of love, possibility, and safety from danger,” Melania wrote. She continued by saying that it is the duty of parents to nurture children’s hope and the responsibility of leaders to sustain all children. “Undeniably, we must strive to paint a dignity-filled world for all—so that every soul may wake to peace, and so that the future itself is perfectly guarded,” she said.

Melania then told the Russian president that it was his duty to protect children and future generations. “A simple yet profound concept, Mr. Putin, as I am sure you agree, is that each generation’s descendants begin their lives with a purity—an innocence which stands above geography, government, and ideology,” she wrote. “Yet in today’s world, some children are forced to carry a quiet laughter, untouched by the darkness around them—a silent defiance against the forces that can potentially claim their future.” She concluded by telling Putin, “you can singlehandedly restore their melodic laughter,” and that by protecting the children’s innocence, he would serve not just Russia but “humanity itself.” She ended by stating, “Such a bold idea transcends all human division, and you, Mr. Putin, are fit to implement this vision with a stroke of the pen today. It is time.”
