The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has reportedly detained Ghana’s former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, over his visa status.
Mr. Ofori-Atta’s lawyers revealed his detention in a public notice.
The notice indicated that Mr. Ofori-Atta was cooperating fully with ICE.
It says the ex-Ghanaian Minister has a pending petition for adjustment of visa status, a process under US law that allows a person remains in the country beyond the validity of an initial visa.
