On Thursday, 26th October, 2023, Ghana’s Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Samuel A. Jinapor, had the privilege, as the only African Minister, to address the China Mining Conference, 2023, being held in Tianjin, China.
He made a great effort to make the African and Ghana case to the Conference and beyond.
Again, on Friday 27th October, 2023, the Hon. Minister delivered an address at the “Ghana Day”event, themed “leveraging over a century of mining to enhance value addition for the development of Ghana”.
He used the laudable platform to market the country as the preferred destination for mining,on the African continent.
Panalist at the well attended session showcased Ghana’s Rich mineral wealth and the government’s renewed policy direction of adding value to all mineral resources.
The Lands Minister later held bilateral meetings with some major mining companies including Ghana Manganese Parent company, Tianyuan Manganese Industry.
