The Vice President of Ghana, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has returned home from the United Kingdom (UK) where she has been taking treatment for weeks.
Her return to Ghana on Thursday, May 22, 2025, brings an end to her medical leave.
She had departed Ghana weeks ago after an initial consultation at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).

In a speech during his ‘Thank You Tour’ at Dodowa, a town within the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, on Friday, May 16, 2025, President John Dramani Mahama indicated that his Vice had recovered fully and would return to Ghana before the end of this week.
He had said “I am happy to state that I spoke to her yesterday morning, and she will be back in the country before the end of next week. By God’s grace, she is fully recovered and she is going to come and go back to her duties.”
