Ghana’s Corruption Crackdown: ORAL Committee Submits 2,417 Complaints

In a significant step towards tackling corruption, the Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) Committee has submitted a report to President John Dramani Mahama, containing 2,417 complaints of suspected corruption.

The complaints were gathered from the public through a toll-free call and email, with 1,493 reports received through calls and 924 via emails.

The report was officially handed over to the president at the Jubilee House, with Chairman of the committee and Foreign Affairs minister, Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa, addressing the president before presenting the report. Ablakwa emphasized that Ghanaians are deeply concerned about corruption and are eagerly anticipating the president’s actions to address the issue.

President Mahama commended the ORAL team for their work, noting that they had requested no remuneration. He assured that every pesewa recovered from the operation will be reinvested in national development, emphasizing that Ghana is no longer a ground for corruption.
