Alan Kyerematen, the presidential candidate of Movement for Change (M4C), a breakaway political party, has picked his running mate for Ghana’s upcoming Presidential elections.
Mr. Kyerematen, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, submitted his nomination at the Electoral Commission of Ghana. Shortly his submission, he announced lawyer Kwame Owusu Danso as his running mate for the Presidential election scheduled to take place on December 7, 2024.
A statement issued by Mr. Kyerematen, explained that Mr. Owusu Danso’s selection aligns with the aspirations of Ghanaian youth “who are seeking greater inclusion in governance decisions.”
Mr. Kyerematen’s Movement for Change is a breakaway party from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP). He served as a former Trade and Industry Minister under incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo and broke away from the NPP after being defeated in the ruling Party’s Super Delegates Conference which current Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia won.
