Ghana’s Cyber Security Authority (CSA) and National Security operatives have arrested 32 Nigerians for alleged romance scams targeting Thai and Japanese citizens.
The arrests were made in a coordinated early morning operation at Kasoa – Tuba in the Central Region of Ghana.

In a statement on its official Facebook page on Saturday, December 13, 2025, the Cyber Security Authority said “The joint operation resulted in the seizure of 31 laptops and 15 mobile phones suspected to be linked to cybercrime activities. The suspects are currently in custody to assist with ongoing investigations, while the seized devices are undergoing forensic analysis.”

It says “This operation forms part of the Authority’s sustained efforts to combat cybercrime and related offences nationwide. The CSA remains committed to safeguarding Ghana’s digital space in close collaboration with its security partners and encourages the public to report suspicious cyber-related activities through the appropriate channels.”
