The Western Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service says it it is on manhunt for a gang of armed robbers who attacked a gold buying shop in Mpohor.
According to the Police Service in a statement signed by Head of Public Affairs of the Western Regional Police Command, Superintendent of Police, Olivia ET Adiku, one of the robbery suspect has been arrested.
Police in the statement said during the attack, the gang robbed the gold shop of “unspecified amount of money and injured one person in the Mpohor District in the Western Region.”
The incident happened on Saturday, August 16, 2025, the statement revealed.
“One person has been picked and is assisting in the investigation, whilst strenuous efforts are underway to arrest the remaining suspects,” it said, adding that “The injured victim is responding to treatment.”
