Ghana Police Kill Four Suspected Armed Robbers in Ashanti Region

At least four suspected armed robbers have reportedly been killed in a shootout with personnel of the Ghana Police Service in the Adansi areas of the Ashanti Region.

The suspects were allegedly responsible for a series of robberies and attacks on the Bekwai-Fomena stretch.

According to reports, the suspects had mounted a roadblock and attacked travelers. Police officers responded swiftly to a distress call and engaged the suspects in a fierce shootout. Four suspects were killed, while two others escaped into the bush with gunshot wounds. A manhunt has been launched to apprehend the remaining suspects.

The police are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the full details of the incident and identify the deceased. The operation highlights the police’s efforts to maintain law and order in the region.
