Ghana Police Dismisses Death Rumors, Says IGP Yohunu Is Alive

The Ghana Police Service has dismissed reports claiming that the country’s Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has died.

According to the Police Service in a statement released on its official Facebook page, “IGP Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno is alive and well and discharging his mandate.”

The Police Service said “We urge our officers, family members, loved ones, and the general public to disregard these reports.”

It said “We would like to caution persons behind these malicious, insensitive, and reckless claims to note that disinformation constitutes an offense and perpetrators will be brought to justice when identified.”
