Police in Ghana have arrested a 65-year-old woman named Martha Mansah along with three men in connection with the alleged murder of the Akwamuhene (chief) of Tanoso in the Bono East Region of the country.
In a statement dated Thursday, November 13, 2025, the Ghana Police Service identified the suspects include Issifu Addae aka Akwasi Addae, Stephen Gyamfi, Augustine Arhinful, and Martha Mansah.




According to the statement, four other suspects have been named as persons of interest and are being pursued by police.
It says “Preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased was destooled as the Akwamuhene of Tanoso but he reportedly rejected the decision and engaged the family in multiple litigations and disputes.”
The statement added that “The four suspects are currently in police custody assisting investigations.”
It added that police have intensified efforts to track down the remaining suspects to face full rigours of the law.
