Ghana Police Arrest 5 Suspected Armed Robbers

Ghana’s Western North Regional Police Command has arrested five (5) suspected armed robbers involved in a series of robbery incidents within Sefwi Bekwai and its environs.

The suspects have been identified as Iddrisu Abdalla (20), Abdul Rahaman Abubakar (21), Okasha Mohammed (19), Toffic Bawa (24), and Richard Gyapong (35).

The arrests followed an intelligence-led surveillance operation within Sefwi Bekwai and its environs, during which officers intercepted three of the suspects riding an unregistered motorbike. Upon reaching the Mpesiem Police snap checkpoint, the suspects failed to stop and were pursued and arrested.

A search conducted at their respective places of abode resulted in the retrieval of a backpack containing numerous talismans, a face mask, and finger rings, items suspected to be used to facilitate their criminal activities.
