Ghana Police Arrest 2 Persons Over Threat To Kill President Mahama and First Lady

The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has announced ongoing investigation into a viral TikTok video in which an individual threatened to kill Ghanaian President, John Dramani Mahama, and First Lady, Lordina Mahama, with police arresting two persons so far in connection with the video and the threat made in it.

In a statement on its official Facebook page, the Ghana Police Service said: “So far, two people, Prince Ofori and Yayra Abiwu, are in Police custody assisting the ongoing investigation while efforts are underway to get other persons believed to be connected to the video to assist the investigation.”

“The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigation into a viral TikTok video in which an individual is heard threatening the lives of the President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama and the First Lady,” the statement said.

Suspect Prince Ofori is a popular Ghanaian TikToker also known as Fante Comedy.
