Ghana: Kwabena Agyepong Files Nomination To Contest In NPP Presidential Primaries

A former General Secretary of Ghana’s opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has filed his nomination to contest in the NPP’s presidential election.

He is the first of all the aspirants to file his nomination for the election scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Mr. Agyepong failed in his attempt to lead the NPP in the 2024 general eelections as he and other aspirants lost out to former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who also in the race for next year.
