Ex-Ghanaian President John Agyekum Kufuor has visited President John Dramani Mahama to console him and his wife, Lordina, following the Ghana military helicopter crash which killed two Ghanaian ministers and six other persons.
Upon his arrival at the Jubilee House in Accra on Friday, August 8, 2025, Mr. Kufuor was received by Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and other government officials.

His visit has been described as a gesture of statesmanship and unity during Ghana’s period of national mourning.
At the Presidency, Mr. Kufuor met with President Mahama and First Lady, Lordina, consoling them over the huge loss of lives.
The military helicopter crash, which happened on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Adansi Akrofrom in the Ashanti Region, claimed the lives of Ghana’s Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Muniru Mohammed, former parliamentary candidate Samuel Aboagye, and NDC Vice Chairman Samuel Sarpong.
