Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia, and Jadon Sancho have informed Manchester United of their desire to leave the club ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Reports indicate that Manchester United have delayed the return of these players to pre-season training until later in July 2025 to allow them time to explore their potential exits. The rest of the squad is set to begin reporting back on Monday, July 7, 2025, for pre-season preparations. The news was confirmed by transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano on his official social media accounts on Friday, July 4, 2025.
If their futures are not resolved during this period, the players will return to Manchester United’s Carrington training facility, where they will continue to have full access to medical and training support.
In a significant development, Matheus Cunha will be given the No. 10 shirt, previously worn by Marcus Rashford. The forward’s representatives were informed of this decision in advance.
Rashford has been linked with several top European clubs, with a particular interest in joining Barcelona. There are also reports suggesting he could remain in the Premier League, but no official agreements have been confirmed by the parties involved.
