Emirates has named Salem Almana as its new Country Manager for Ghana, effective August 1, 2025. In this role, Almana will oversee the airline’s commercial operations in Ghana, foster strategic partnerships, and drive Emirates’ long-term growth in West Africa.
Previously, Almana served as Regional Manager for Pakistan, managing operations across five cities. Since joining Emirates in 2017 through the UAE National Commercial Outstation Programme, he has held roles in India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives, building extensive experience in sales strategy, customer engagement, and market development.
“I’m honoured to lead Emirates’ commercial efforts in Ghana, an exciting and dynamic market,” Almana said. “The country is strategically significant for Emirates in West Africa, and I look forward to collaborating with our team and local partners to build on our two-decade foundation, delivering world-class travel experiences and strengthening our regional presence.”
Emirates has served Ghana for over 20 years, connecting Accra to its global network of more than 140 destinations. The airline offers premium services across Economy Class, Premium Economy, Business Class, and First Class, enhanced by its award-winning inflight entertainment and hospitality. Recently, Emirates opened a dedicated travel retail store in Accra, the first in West Africa, to provide tailored travel solutions for customers.
