On Friday, November 14, 2025, at the headquarters of the ECOWAS Investment and Development Bank (BIDC) in Lomé, Togo, the Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) held a ceremony for the awarding of scholarships to students from Gaston Berger University (Senegal) and for the signing of a Technical Assistance Agreement with the University of Lomé (Togo).
The event, held under the theme “Promote regional integration: institutional and academic cooperation in the service of multilingualism”, integrated the celebrations of the 50th anniversary. CEDEAO’s anniversary in Togo.

The launch of the second phase of the Pan-African Master’s Program in Conference, Interpretation and Translation (PAMCIT) was chaired by S. Ex. Damtien Larbli TCHINTCHIBIDJA, Vice-Chairman of the ECOWAS Commission.

In attendance were the President of the ECOWAS Investment and Development Bank (BIDC), Dr. George Agyekum Donkor, the new ECOWAS Resident Representative in Togo, Deweh Emily Gray, Lagnie Bambimle, Chief of the ECOWAS National Office in Togo, Movses Abelian, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations for the Management of the General Assembly and Conferences and Olukemi Robinson-Atabuh, Director of Conferences and Protocol of the ECOWAC Commission and Institutional President of PAMCIT II, in addition to representatives of partner universities and various guests.
