EbonyLife Place To Unveil “The Afrobeat” — Lagos’ First Afrobeats-Inspired Culinary Sanctuary

On Thursday, 29 May 2025, EbonyLife Place will unveil The Afrobeat, a genre-defining culinary and cultural experience in the heart of Victoria Island, Lagos — a bold homage to Africa’s most influential music export: Afrobeats.

The Afrobeat isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a multisensory journey, a space where music meets memory, and every dish tells a story. Guests will explore modern African cuisine through a carefully curated four-course menu — salad, soup, mains, and dessert — crafted using ingredients from local farmers. Each course embodies the soul of the land and the diasporic fusion that defines Afrobeats itself.

Inside, the vibe is unmistakably African. With curated Afrobeats memorabilia and music videos by Trace, the ambience pulses with rhythm and pride. Red clay tones, terracotta textures, wooden accents, and Afro-futuristic chandeliers set the stage. A majestic sculpted mask of an African king stands guard, while a vibrant mural evokes the genre’s spirit of rebellion, rhythm, and renaissance.

In attendance will be legendary artistes, next-gen creators, cultural icons, and global tastemakers — all celebrating the genre that has reshaped global pop culture.

“The Afrobeat is a reflection of who we are and what we value,” said Mo Abudu, CEO of EbonyLife Place.
“This restaurant is a bold move to celebrate the culture, curate its story, and give it a home in the city where it was born.”

From Lagos to the world, The Afrobeat promises a truly immersive dining and cultural experience — where every bite, beat, and backdrop honours Africa’s rhythm.
