A 60-year-old disabled British man was allegedly robbed by three Thai prostitutes he picked from a roadside and took to his hotel room in Pattaya, Thailand.

Chris John Glennon, from Northampton, was left devastated after inviting two Thai women and a transgender woman to his room at the Basaya Beach Hotel and Resort. While he was showering, the trio reportedly stole his money and fled the scene.

Mail Online first reported about the incident, saying Glennon had picked up the women from a busy beachfront road in Pattaya, an area known for its nightlife. He brought them to his hotel room, but shortly after he entered the bathroom, the three individuals — believed to be aged between 25 and 30 — allegedly took his money and left.

Glennon, who uses a wheelchair and has a speech disability, reported the theft to hotel staff, who assisted him in filing a police complaint at the Pattaya City Police Station at 12:16 a.m. on Wednesday.

The suspects reportedly stole 6,000 Baht (about £140), which Glennon said he intended to use as payment, along with an additional £150 in British currency.

Police identified two of the suspects — Chantakarn Donlueam, a Thai woman, and Ekkarat Marknok, a transgender woman — after they left photocopies of their ID cards at the hotel reception. The third suspect, who did not provide identification, is still being sought.

Captain Anirut Jehrah of the Pattaya City Police stated, “We have documented the incident and are reviewing CCTV footage as part of the investigation. The suspects left behind copies of their ID cards, which are now critical evidence.”

A staff member from the hotel said Glennon was a regular guest who had stayed there several times and communicated with employees using his phone due to a speech impairment. She confirmed he had been staying alone since booking online on June 24 and had previously brought women to his room without incident.

“According to the CCTV footage, the three individuals — who appeared to be either women or transgender — were seen fleeing the hotel. We have the footage ready for police review,” she said.

Another staff member added, “Only two of the individuals left ID cards with us. The third person did not provide any identification.”

Authorities are currently pursuing the suspects and urge anyone with information to contact the Pattaya police.
