China Records 7,000 Cases Of Mosquito-borne Chikungunya Virus

 

At least 7,000 cases of the mosquito-borne chikungunya virus have been recorded in China, sparking another global health concern.

According to reports, giant “elephant mosquitoes” are being releases that can devour smaller, chikungunya-spreading bugs along with an army of mosquito-eating fish.

Reports say measures have been put in place to in an effort to control the spread of the chikungunya virus.
