The President of Chad, Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, on Thursday afternoon chaired an Ordinary Council of Ministers meeting, with five draft laws and one draft decree placed on the agenda for deliberation.

Under the Ministry of Finance, Budget, Economy, Planning and International Cooperation, four draft bills were presented for consideration. These include proposals to ratify several loan agreements signed between the Republic of Chad and major international financial partners. The agreements involve the OPEC Fund for International Development (OPEC Fund) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF), as well as the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA).

Among the key measures is the ratification of financing arrangements for the third phase of the Integrated Development of Rice in the Chari–Logone Plain Project (PDRI-CL3), supported by BADEA and the OPEC Fund. Another proposed agreement seeks funding from the Saudi Development Fund to support the construction and equipping of a national cardiology center.
