C-Real Urges Stronger PR Strategy to Boost Ghana’s GRAMMY Nomination Chances

Ghanaian rapper and creative strategist C-Real has called for a more strategic and coordinated public relations (PR) approach to strengthen Ghana’s prospects in the GRAMMY Awards submission and consideration process.

Speaking on The Chat with Ekow Koomson on Channel One TV on Saturday, October 11, C-Real noted that while Ghanaians have every reason to celebrate their artistes’ inclusion in the GRAMMY consideration phase, more deliberate effort is needed to secure actual nominations.

“We need to push the right PR for the GRAMMY submissions,” he said. “It’s not just about celebrating the consideration; we should be looking at how to make it to the main nominations. That’s where the real work and impact lie.”

His remarks come amid excitement over several Ghanaian artistes—Shatta Wale, Black Sherif, Epixode, M.anifest, and Moliy—making it onto this year’s GRAMMY consideration list. The development has reignited national conversations about how Ghana’s music industry can transition from mere recognition to achieving official nominations and eventual wins at the prestigious awards.
