Bullgod Recounts Final Conversation with Late Highlife Legend Dada KD

Ghanaian entertainment pundit and artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson—widely known as Bullgod—has revealed details of his last interaction with the late Highlife icon Dada KD, which occurred on the morning of Friday, May 16, 2025, just hours before the musician passed away.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday, May 17, Bullgod said the two were finalizing arrangements for an upcoming show in London, where Dada KD had been booked to perform. The discussions had been ongoing for two months, focusing on visas and other travel logistics.

Bullgod recalled sensing discomfort in the singer’s voice during the call. “He didn’t sound well. I asked if he was okay, and he said he wasn’t feeling fine. So I told him to rest and that we’d talk later,” he said, adding that he followed up with Dada KD’s manager to continue the visa discussions.

Later that same evening, Bullgod received a distressing call from his UK partner, Ransford, confirming the sudden death of Dada KD. The news came as a shock, especially given the artist’s enthusiasm for the upcoming show.

Bullgod also noted that in recent times, Dada KD had been showing signs of emotional and psychological distress. “He cared deeply about the music industry and had concerns about its future. Those things weighed on him heavily,” he shared.

The nation continues to mourn the unexpected loss of Dada KD—a voice that shaped generations with timeless songs rooted in love, culture, and personal truth.
