Boxing Legends Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather Set for Exhibition Bout

LAS VEGAS — Two of boxing’s biggest names, Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather, have officially signed a deal to face each other in an exhibition match scheduled for spring 2026, according to a report from TMZ Sports.

Organized by CSI Sports/Fight Sports, the historic bout does not yet have a confirmed date or venue, but both fighters have already expressed their excitement. “This fight is something neither the world nor I ever thought would or could happen,” Tyson said. “Boxing has entered a new era of the unpredictable — and this fight is as unpredictable as it gets. I still can’t believe Floyd wants to really do this. It’s going to be detrimental to his health, but he wants to do it, so it’s signed and it’s happening!”

Mayweather, known for his flawless record and defensive skill, appeared unfazed by the challenge. “I’ve been doing this for 30 years and there hasn’t been a single fighter that can tarnish my legacy,” he said. “You already know that if I am going to do something, it’s going to be big and it’s going to be legendary. I’m the best in the business of boxing. This exhibition will give the fans what they want.”

The bout will not affect Mayweather’s perfect 50-0 professional record. The match marks a high-profile return to the ring for both men, who have recently participated in exhibition bouts. Mayweather’s last professional fight was against Conor McGregor in 2017. Tyson last fought in November 2024 against Jake Paul in a match that drew 108 million viewers worldwide.
