Bolt Ghana IWD Campaign Records 1,170 Applications for the “She Moves to Win” Initiative

Bolt Ghana has recorded strong participation in its ongoing International Women’s Day campaign, “She Moves to Win 2.0”, with 1,170 unique grant applications submitted by women-led businesses across Ghana.

The growing number of entries shows a clear interest from female entrepreneurs seeking funding support and highlights the campaign’s relevance within the SME space. Since the campaign opened, applications have come in from a mix of sectors, highlighting many women’s business needs and growth plans.

Speaking on the campaign’s progress, Teddy Appa-Dankyi, Senior General Manager, Bolt West Africa, noted: “The response from the entrepreneurial community is a reminder of the ambition that exists among women-led businesses in Ghana. Reaching 1,170 applications within a few days shows that when we provide clear pathways to funding, women are ready to take the opportunity to grow their businesses.”

The selection and disbursement process is being managed by Duafe Foundation to ensure the funds reach businesses where they will have the most effective impact.

Bolt Ghana will announce the final beneficiaries and award the grants at a prize-giving event scheduled for March 28, 2026.
