Black Star Legacy Awards Expands: A New Chapter in Honoring Ghanaian and Pan-African Excellence

Accra, Ghana – Nineteen57 Events has announced the evolution of the Black Star Legacy Awards into an independent, standalone event, marking a bold new chapter in celebrating excellence across Ghana, Africa, and the African diaspora.

Originally introduced as part of Rhythms on the Runway in 2019 during Ghana’s Year of Return, the Black Star Legacy Awards has honored distinguished icons such as Obrafour, Reggie Rockstone, Stonebwoy, Morgan Heritage, and Hon. Lisa Hanna, among others. Recognizing achievements in creative arts, culture, and leadership, the platform has grown into a highly anticipated annual celebration.

With this transformation, the awards will expand beyond the arts to recognize contributions in business, leadership, innovation, science, and humanitarian efforts, reinforcing its commitment to celebrating African excellence on a global scale.

While further details, including award categories and selection criteria, are yet to be announced, organizers promise an unforgettable event that will continue to spotlight the individuals and organizations shaping the future.
